Vera Marie Hoffmann (born November 2, 1996 ) is a Luxembourgish - German athlete who competes in the middle distance run . Hoffmann competes internationally for Luxembourg, but also takes part in German championships as a dual citizen.

Athletic career

Vera Hoffmann gained her first international experience in 2015 at the Junior European Championships in Eskilstuna , where she finished ninth in the 3000 meter run in 10: 04.70 min. Two years later she won the silver medal over 800 meters behind the Cypriot Natalia Evangelidou at the Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE) in Serravalle in 2: 09.00 min . In addition, she secured the bronze medal in the Luxembourg 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 49.77 minutes. Then she was eighth in the 1500 meter run at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz in 4: 21.94 min and was eliminated over this distance at the Summer Universiade in Taipei with 4: 32.18 min in the first round. In 2019, she won the GSSE in Bar in 4: 21.51 minutes over 1500 meters and again won the silver medal behind her compatriot Charline Mathias in the 800 meter run in 2: 09.06 minutes . At the Student World Games in Naples she finished seventh over 1500 meters in 4: 15.81 minutes and was eliminated in the semifinals over 800 meters with 2: 06.73 minutes.

In 2016, Hoffmann became Luxembourg champion in the 800 and 1500 meter outdoor races. In the hall she secured the titles over both distances in 2015 and over 800 meters in 2019.
