Natalia Evangelidou ( Greek Ναταλία Ευαγγελίδου ; * March 10, 1991 ) is a Cypriot athlete who competes in the middle distance run .

Athletic career

In 2013 Natalia Evangelidou took part in the Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE) in Luxembourg , where she won the silver medal over 1500 meters. She finished fourth over 800 meters and was disqualified with the Cypriot 4 x 400 meter relay. At the U23 European Championships in Tampere , she was eliminated over 1500 meters in the preliminary round, as well as in the games of the Francophonie in Nice over 800 meters. In 2014 she qualified for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow , where over 800 and 1500 meters were eliminated in the run. In 2015 she won the silver medal over 1500 meters and bronze over 800 meters at the GSSE in Reykjavík . At the Universiade in Gwangju , she reached the semi-finals over 800 meters. In 2016 she qualified for the European Championships in Amsterdam , where she also reached the semi-finals over 800 meters. In 2017 she took part in the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade over 1500 meters and was eliminated there in the first round. At the GSSE in Serravalle she won the gold medal over 800 meters and silver over 1500 meters and with the relay. A few weeks later, she took part in the World Student Games in Taipei for the second time , where she finished sixth over 1500 meters and was eliminated over 800 meters in the semi-finals.

So far she has been four times Cypriot champion in the 800 and 1500 meters.
