Chiara Scherrer (born January 24, 1996 ) is a Swiss athlete . Her specialty is the 3000 meter obstacle course .

Athletic career

Chiara Scherrer gained her first international experience in 2014 at the Junior World Championships in Eugene , where she was eliminated with 11: 05.00 min in advance, as well as at the Junior European Championships in Eskilstuna the following year with 10: 56.16 min.

In 2017 she finished eighth at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz in 10: 06.41 min. In 2018 she was fourth at the U23 Cross European Championships in Tilburg .

She gained her first experience with the international elite in 2018 at the European Championships in Berlin , where she was eliminated with 9: 47.46 in the preliminary run. The following year she was fourth at the Summer Universiade in Naples in 9: 47.38 min.

In addition, she won championship medals over 800 m, 1500 m, 3000 m, 3000 m obstacle and cross-country runs .
