Louis Gilavert (born January 1, 1998 in Corbeil-Essonnes ) is a French athlete who specializes in the obstacle course .

Athletic career

Louis Gilavert gained his first international experience in 2015 when he finished seventh in the 2000 meter obstacle course in 5: 46.00 min at the Youth World Championships in Cali . The following year he was eliminated from the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz with 9: 09.58 minutes in advance and in 2017 he won the bronze medal at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto in 8: 57.12 minutes. In 2018 he took part in the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona and reached twelfth place after 9: 12.44 minutes. The following year he was sixth at the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 8: 48.28 minutes and in December he finished 40th in the U23 class after 25:55 minutes at the European Cross Country Championships in Lisbon and secured himself in the gold medal in the team ranking.
