Anna Emilie Møller (born July 28, 1997 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish athlete who competes in both long distance and obstacle courses .

Athletic career

Anna Emilie Møller gained her first international experience in 2015 at the Junior European Championships in Eskilstuna , Sweden , where she won the silver medal behind the German Alina Reh in 16: 07.43 minutes in the 5000 meter run and over 3000 meters in 9: 17.36 min secured the bronze medal. The following year she was fifth in the obstacle course at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz in 9: 43.84 min and thus qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she set a new national record of 9: 32.68 min Prelim was eliminated. At the 2017 World Cross Country Championships in Kampala , she finished 71st place after 37:36 minutes, and at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz, she won the obstacle course in 9: 43.05 minutes. As a result, she was able to take part in the World Championships in London , but did not make it into the final with 9: 44.12 minutes . The following year she finished seventh in the European Championships in Berlin in 9: 31.66 minutes and came fourth in the Continental Cup in Ostrava in 9: 42.57 minutes. In December she secured the U23 title at the European Cross Country Championships in Tilburg in 20:34 minutes.

At the 2019 World Cross Country Championships in Aarhus , she finished 15th after 37:51 minutes and then won the U23 European Championships in Gävle with a new championship record of 9:27.31 minutes in the obstacle course and a new national record of 15:07 , 70 min even over 5000 meters. She qualified in both competitions for the World Championships in Doha in October, in which she was eliminated over 5000 meters with 15: 11.76 minutes in the lead , while in the obstacle course with a new national record of 9: 13.46 minutes in the final came seventh place. In December she won the European Cross Country Championships in 20:30 minutes in the U23 class.

In 2015, 2016 and 2019 Møller was the Danish champion in the 1500 meter run and in 2016 and 2018 also over 800 meters. Over 5000 meters she secured the championship titles in 2015, 2017 and 2019 as well as the title in the obstacle course in 2018.
