Jonas Raess (born March 8, 1994 ) is a Swiss long-distance runner .

Athletic career

Jonas Raess gained his first international experience in 2011 when he came 13th in the 3000 meter run in 8: 47.56 minutes at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Trabzon . In 2017 he took part in the Summer Universiade in Taipei for the first time, where he retired in the 1500 meter run with 3: 45.51 min in the first lap and finished eighth over 5000 meters in 14: 08.99 min. The following year he qualified in the 5000 meter run for the European Championships in Berlin , where he finished 21st in 14: 01.14 minutes. In 2019 he won the Student World Games in Naples in 14: 03.10 min over 5000 meters.

In 2017 and 2019 Raess became Swiss champion in the 5000 meter run.
