Julia Tieke

Julia Tieke (* 1974 ) is a German cultural scientist and radio author.

After graduating from high school in 1994 at the Franziskusgymnasium Lingen , Julia Tieke studied cultural studies at the University of Hildesheim . She has been working for Deutschlandradio Kultur since 2005, and since 2007 as head of the mini radio play series Wurfsendung . In addition, she develops radio features and radio plays , with a focus on the Arab world . In 2015, she published her chats with Faiz, a Syrian media activist on the run to Germany, under the title My battery is empty . In the same year she was the patron of the 13th Leipzig Radio Play Summer .
