The Julian Lakes are a lake in the center of the Australian state of Tasmania .
They are the source of the Ouse River in the central highlands northeast of the Walls of Jerusalem National Park . Although the name indicates several lakes, it is a single lake, which is divided into two narrow arms by a long peninsula from the south. The Ouse River arises in the eastern arm.
