Julien Leghait (born March 23, 1994 in Valenciennes ) is a French football player .
Club career
Leghait began playing football at a small club from Valenciennes before moving to the youth department of the professional club Valenciennes FC in 2003. After four years in Valenciennes, he went to nearby competitor RC Lens in 2007 , where he was able to move up to the reserve team in 2011. For the fourth division team he scored five goals in eleven games in his first season and was considered for the first time for the professional team at the beginning of the 2012/13 season. In the second game of the season on August 3, 2012, he made his professional debut in the second division team when he was substituted on in the 89th minute. Following the encounter, the then 18-year-old signed a two-year professional contract. Leghait came in his first year as a professional on other short appearances in the first team, but still ran mainly for the reserve.
National team
The player booked his first appearance in the shirt of the French U-18 team when he was in the squad in a 3-0 win against Finland on May 22, 2012 and came on in the 69th minute. In another game against Finland two days later, which ended 3-1, Leghait scored a goal. These were his only two missions for the U-18s. He was taken into account for a game of the U-19s against Switzerland in September, but could not book any use.
