Julio Racine (born February 4, 1945 in Port-au-Prince ) is a Haitian composer and flautist.

Racine had his first flute lessons from his uncle Ulrick Delva , a Catholic priest, flautist and organist. From 1960 he studied flute at the National Conservatory with Despestre Salnave and piano and harmony with Solon Verret . From 1970 to 1974 he studied flute with Francis Fuge and composition with Nelson Keyes at the University of Louisville .

After returning to Haiti, he became professor of flute and conductor of the Orchester Philharmonique Sainte Trinité , with whom he toured the USA in 1984. Like Werner A. Jaegerhuber , who is almost fifty years older than him , Racine takes up the musical traditions of Haitian voodoo in his compositions. In addition to his own compositions, he created numerous arrangements of Haitian folk music.
