July ordinances

Juliordonnanzen ( French Ordonnances de Juillet ) is the name of four ordinances that Charles X of France signed on July 25, 1830 in the castle of Saint-Cloud . In France they are also called Ordonnances de Saint-Cloud or Quatre Ordonnances .

Charles X ordered unconstitutionally to introduce press censorship and to restrict the right to vote. The ordinances were published on the morning of July 26, 1830. One day later, the three-day July Revolution began .
