The Julius Ewald Schmitt Grundstücksgesellschaft bR , short Julius Ewald Schmitt GbR , is since its founding in 1894, continuously family-owned housing company in Dortmund . Initially founded as a construction company by Julius Isidor Schmitt, it was later continued under his own name by his son Julius Ewald. In Dortmund and the neighboring Kamen , Domizil GmbH & Co., which belongs to the company, manages around 1000 of its own apartments and some commercial properties.
Housing stock

Julius Ewald Schmitt GbR is particularly committed to family-friendly apartment and living environment renovation at the headquarters of its office in the so-called Schüchtermannblock, internally Schüchtermanncareé, in the northern part of the city , which is struggling with social difficulties.
