Yuri Viktorovich Fedotov
Yuri Wiktorowitsch Fedotow ( Russian: Ю́рий Ви́кторович Федо́тов ; born December 14, 1947 in Saratov ) is a high-ranking diplomat of the Russian Federation . In his career to date he has held several positions at the UN and has meanwhile been Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Ambassador to Algeria , India and, most recently, Great Britain . In July 2010 he was appointed by UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon to succeed Antonio Maria Costa as the new head of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). On February 1, 2020, he was replaced by the Egyptian Ghada Waly .
