from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Conference of Justice Ministers of the Laender , or Justice Ministers' Conference ( JuMiKo ) for short, is a regular meeting of the German Justice Ministers of the Laender, which the Federal Minister of Justice attends as a guest. It serves to coordinate judicial matters and takes place annually in two face-to-face events. The Justice Ministers' Conferences are prepared by previous meetings of the State Secretaries and State Councilors of the State Ministries of Justice.

The Justice Ministers' Conference is a permanent institution with an annually changing chair. In 2019, Sabine Sütterlin-Waack , Minister for Justice, Europe, Consumer Protection and Equal Opportunities for the State of Schleswig-Holstein was the chair. In 2020 Claudia Schilling , Senator for Science, Ports and Justice of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen , will be the chairwoman.
