Jutta Kaiser

Jutta Kaiser (born April 27, 1972 in Aachen ) a German canoeist . So far she is seven-time German champion and two-time European champion in canoe freestyle ("Rodeo"). In 2005 she won the world title in this discipline.

Life

Jutta Kaiser studied mathematics, education and psychology in Cologne. She is a qualified sports teacher and national trainer for the kayak freestyle junior national team.

Career

Initiated by her parents' sporting activity, Jutta Kaiser began kayaking at the age of 5. As a member of various canoe clubs, she got to know many facets of kayaking and laid the basis for her later involvement. It was only at the age of 25 that she began to compete in the young discipline of freestyle kayaking.

Already in her first competition season in 1998, Jutta Kaiser achieved first place in the German championship and won the silver medal at the European championship on the Augsburg ice track. Jutta Kaiser has been a member of the German National Kayak Freestyle Team since 1998. In 2003 she won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Graz / Austria. In 2004 she became European champion in the Spanish Sort, in 2005 she won 1st place at the World Cup in Australia. In 2006 she was also able to take 3rd place at the European Championships in Nottingham / England. At the World Cup in Prague in 2008, she came fourth after an injury-related break.

Her nickname in the German national squad since the 1999 rodeo season is "Sergeant Jutta", based on the surfer film "Point Break".

She has also traveled wild rivers, waterfalls and inaccessible gorges all over the world and kayaks on some rivers as the first paddler and the first woman in the world.

In 2009 Jutta Kaiser is the most successful German freestyle kayaker and one of the world's best women in navigating rivers with the highest levels of difficulty.

Jutta Kaiser lives in England and south of Munich in Bad Tölz and is a member of the Wickede canoe club.
