Carinthian Economic Promotion Act

The Carinthian Economic Promotion Act (K-WFG) is a law of the Austrian state of Carinthia . Its aim is to promote the competitiveness of the Carinthian economy.

tasks

The tasks defined in the K-WFG are:

  • Promotion of the Carinthian economy to increase productivity and strengthen the competitiveness of companies
  • Support in setting up and expanding companies
  • Promotion of high-tech and lead projects
  • Providing impulses, promoting growth, securing and creating jobs
  • Making a significant contribution to improving the innovative capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
  • Support of operational and inter-company corporate development
  • Support for regional development measures that are not profit-oriented (infrastructure measures)
  • Promotion of measures and projects to improve the quality of tourism
  • Entering into holdings in companies that serve economic development

Funds

The institution of the state of Carinthia for economic development according to the K-WFG is a fund under public law , the Carinthian Economic Development Fund (KWF). This fund fulfills the tasks defined in the K-WFG. He decides independently and without instructions. The fund was founded in April 1993 on the basis of the Carinthian Economic Promotion Act.

SPÖ , ÖVP , FPÖ , Team Carinthia , Chamber of Commerce and Chamber of Labor each nominate one representative for the duration of the legislative period of the Carinthian Parliament. The parties represented in the state parliament each have the right to make proposals. The members are appointed by the state government.
