Königsberger People's Newspaper

The Königsberger Volkszeitung was founded in 1893 as a social democratic newspaper for East Prussia by Otto Braun and Hugo Haase in Königsberg . In 1897 Gustav Noske joined as an editor . In 1901 the newspaper was renamed Königsberger Volkszeitung. The following are considered to be important editors: Adolf Bartel , Otto Wyrgatsch , Arthur Crispien , Hans Wednesday , Werner Lufft and Wilhelm Matull . Since May 1914, the editorial and printing rooms have been in the new union building at Vorderroßgarten 61/62. In 1930 the company moved to the Otto-Braun-Haus in 2. Fließstraße 4/6. In February 1933 the Königsberger Volkszeitung was banned.
