Küçüksu Palace on the banks of the Bosphorus

Küçüksu ("Little Water") is a district of Beykoz in Istanbul and the birthplace of Prince Sabahaddin .

The luxurious Ottoman excursion palace Küçüksu Kasrı , which is built entirely of white marble, is worth seeing . The sultans only came here for excursions and returned the same day. Therefore there is not a single bed in the palace. For many decades, Küçüksu served as a picnic spot for the population, until the builders of the first Bosphorus bridge occupied the wide meadows as an assembly site for the bridge parts. Although the bridge has been completed since 1979, the facilities have not yet been restored (as of 2009).

From here you have the best view of Rumeli Hisarı , a castle complex on the European bank of the Bosporus .

Movie

The palace was a filming location for the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough , in which it was passed off as the residence of Elektra King in Baku .
