The Heikendorf Artist Museum - Kiel Fjord is a foundation sponsored by the Heinrich Blunck Foundation . The museum has existed since September 2000. The task of the museum is to collect the works of members of the Heikendorf artists' colony and other painters who were active in the region and to make them accessible to the general public.

The museum's collection includes works by Heinrich Blunck , Rudolf Behrend , Georg Burmester , Oscar Droege , Karin Hertz , Werner Lange and Fritz Stoltenberg .

Atelierhaus Blunck

The studio house is a two-storey brick building from the mid- 19th century , which has been structurally renovated and its historical substance has been preserved. It houses the permanent gallery in the former studio building, in which the work of representatives of late Impressionism up to the fading Expressionism of the post-war years is shown. A lithography workshop is located on the ground floor of the house. On a 100-year-old Heinrich Bluncks lithographic press, printing is done again on certain dates.
