Küstrin was a town in the Mark Brandenburg until 1945. When the border was drawn after the Second World War, the city on the Oder was divided:

  • in Poland Kostrzyn nad Odrą (formerly Küstrin-Neustadt )
  • in Poland Küstrin old town (in the urban area of ​​Kostrzyn nad Odrą; not rebuilt after the war and uninhabited today)
  • in Germany Küstrin-Kietz today part of the municipality Küstriner Vorland ; since the beginning of 1954 Friedenfelde and from late 1954 to 1991 Kietz renamed
