Kōya Shimizu ( Japanese 清水 康 也 Shimizu Kōya ; born June 15, 1982 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Shimizu learned to play football in the youth team of Verdy Kawasaki (today: Tokyo Verdy) and the university team of Kokushikan University . He signed his first contract with Vegalta Sendai in 2005 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . For the club he completed 18 league games. In 2007 he moved to league rivals Sagan Tosu . For the club he completed 48 league games. In 2010 he moved to league rivals Tokyo Verdy .
