K-12

In the USA 's K-12 is a widespread, collective term for the primary and secondary education ( primary and secondary education ). It is pronounced as "Kay through 12" or "Kay 12" and is the abbreviation for " Kindergarten to 12th grade ".

In most school districts, the divided primary and secondary education in visiting a Elementary School ( elementary school a), Middle School (or junior high school ) and a high school . Occasionally, however, there are also school districts with K-12 schools , in which children from kindergarten through 12th grade are taught under one roof and also receive the high school diploma .

Outside the United States, this system is also used in Canada , Turkey , the Philippines and Australia .
