KENOM
KENOM is the name for a virtual coin portal in which scientific coin and bank note collections are recorded and published. The letters stands for " K ooperative E rschließung and N EXPLOITATION of O bjektdaten of M ünzsammlungen ".
The virtual coin cabinet has set itself the goal of digitizing old coins and banknotes so that interested researchers can access information about past epochs, their rulers and trade routes.
KENOM is part of the Joint Library Association (GBV), a state enterprise of the State of Lower Saxony . The project is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
