KEO plc ( Greek Κυπριακή Εταιρία Οίνων , Cyprus Wine Company) is the largest beverage manufacturer and the largest industrial employer in the Republic of Cyprus . The company is listed on the Cyprus Stock Exchange . The Cypriot Orthodox Church holds an 18.9% stake in KEO.

history

KEO was founded as a bottling company for wines in Limassol in 1927. In 1951 the range was expanded to include a brewery that was built with Czechoslovak know-how. To date, KEO has expanded its product range to include dry wines (e.g. Commandaria ), mineral water, Cyprus brandy, spirits (including Zivania ), juices and canned food. The company supports the annual Limassol Wine Festival .

The company is represented abroad by importers.
