KNMI measuring mast Cabauw

The KNMI-Messmast Cabauw is a 213 meter high guyed tubular steel mast for meteorological measurements near Cabauw in the province of Utrecht . It is operated by the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI). The mast, only a few kilometers southwest of the Gerbrandy Tower , was erected in 1972. Its foundation is 0.7 meters below sea level. The mast is provided with 9.4 meter long booms that can be folded in hydraulically.
