The KPMG Switzerland (officially KPMG AG ) is a Swiss auditing - as well as tax and corporate advisory -Gesellschaft based in Zurich . The company employs around 1,815 people at a total of eleven locations, including one in Liechtenstein , and in 2015 generated net sales of 403.8 million Swiss francs .

history

The company was founded in 1910 as the “Zürcher Treuhand-Vereinigung” and in 1912 it was renamed “Fides Treuhand-Vereinigung”. In 1928 the Schweizerische Kreditanstalt acquired the majority of the shares.

In the course of various takeovers, mergers and reorganizations, the company was renamed several times. From 1987 it appeared under the name "KPMG Fides Peat". In 1992 the company was separated from the Schweizerische Kreditanstalt through a management buyout . In 2007 the company was renamed "KPMG AG". In 2008, the Swiss company KPMG joined KPMG Europe LLP .
