In the late 1970s and 1980s, the KTM SM 25 belonged to the upper class of mopeds . KTM had equipped the moped with a full-length bench seat, which - albeit illegally - made it possible to transport a second person at short notice. The permissible total weight of the moped was 180 kg. A direct competitor, which was built according to the same model, was the Hercules Prima GT and the Hercules G3 , which appeared later .

Technical specifications

W8ACs were used as spark plugs . The fuel tank held 7.5 liters. The moped was equipped with a Sachs engine (Sachs 506 / 3b or 506 / 3by in the younger models, the old model had a Sachs 503 / D).
