The Hercules Prima GT is a moped model from the two-wheeler manufacturer Hercules . What is striking about this series produced between 1985 and 1995 is that both the Prima GT and its predecessor had the Prima GX girder struts, which were supposed to calm and stabilize the frame. The Hercules Pronto or Presto models did not have this.

The engine from Fichtel & Sachs and a 3-speed manual gearbox are used in all models . He was z. B. also installed in the KTM SM 25 KTM Bora 25 and Hercules Presto / Pronto.

technology

The air-cooled engine of type 506/3 B (Y) has an inclined cylinder with a displacement of 50 cm³ and flat pistons. It delivers a maximum of 1.2 kW at 3500 min -1 , the maximum torque is 3.8 Nm at 2500 min -1 , causing the moped gradients of up to 35% can handle. The gears are switched using a draw key that can be moved in the main shaft. Clutch shaft gears and drive shaft gears are constantly in mesh. When the draw key clicks into place on the gear, it is rigidly connected to the drive shaft.

The Hercules is decelerated at the front and rear by a drum brake that is operated by a manual pull and a coaster brake (pedals). At the front there is a reinforced telescopic fork with a spring strut moved forward (90 mm spring travel) and at the rear the moped is suspended by a swing arm with an open sport spring strut (65 mm spring travel). The power supply is ensured by a contact-controlled MOTOPLAT ignition and lighting system, which supplies a large wide-screen headlight and the rear light.
