KYKNOS is a producer of tomato paste and tomato pastes from the Peloponnese .

In order to achieve the most consistent taste possible without technical aids, all tomatoes come from the Ilia region in the Peloponnese and are grown according to the specifications of the KYKNOS company, which also supplies the seeds.

history

The company was founded in 1915 by Michail and Kostas Manousakis. Kostas' son Dimitris developed a concentration process for tomato paste in 1928, which enabled the company to break into the Greek market. To date, only various tomato products are made.

The expansion of large food groups with more flexible production and a larger range, as well as the retention of old forms of production, has turned the company from a local major supplier into a traditional niche supplier. Even the packaging in two-tone printed corrugated metal cans has remained almost unchanged since the 1920s.
