Chiesanuova concentration camp
The Chiesanuova concentration camp ( campo di concentramento di Chiesanuova ) was an Italian concentration camp of fascist Italy near Padua at the time of the Second World War . Under the administration of the Italian military, it was used to intern Yugoslav civilians, mainly Slovenes, but also Croats. The first prisoners were transferred from the Monigo concentration camp to Chiesanuova on August 14, 1942 . After the armistice of Cassibile , the camp was disbanded on September 10, 1943.
