Kašku
Kašku ('lamp') is the hattic moon god. The myth "The moon fell from heaven" is about him, according to which he fell from his heavenly seat to the market in the city of Laḫzan . The angry weather god Taru sent rain showers and storm winds after him, which the goddess Kataḫziwuri saw down from the sky, whereupon she started a ritual with Ḫapantali to appease the weather god. The myth belongs to a ritual that was carried out by the “man of the weather god” “when the weather god thunders terribly”.
