Oberdorf – Weissenstein cable car

The Oberdorf – Weissenstein cable car is a cable car that runs from Oberdorf to the Weissenstein in the Swiss canton of Solothurn . It was built at the same location after the Oberdorf – Weissenstein chairlift , which had been closed four years earlier, was demolished in 2013 and was put into operation on December 20, 2014.

The manufacturer of the train, which has a total of 49 six-cabin cabins, was the Garaventa company . The valley station is 664  m above sea level. M. on the northern outskirts of Oberdorf, next to the train station on the Solothurn – Moutier railway line . The lower of the two sections leads to the intermediate station Nesselboden at 1065  m above sea level. M .; it is 1620 m long and overcomes a height difference of 401 m. Immediately afterwards (no change required) follows the second section, which runs from the Nesselboden to the 1282  m above sea level. M. located mountain station next to the Kurhaus Weissenstein ; with a length of 757 m it overcomes 217 m.
