Spyros Kyprianou I cabinet
The Spyros Kyprianou I cabinet was formed in the Republic of Cyprus on August 31, 1977 by President Spyros Kyprianou and replaced the Makarios VI cabinet . After the previous President Archbishop Makarios III. died on August 3, 1977, the former foreign minister and foster son of Archbishop Makarios, Spyros Kyprianou, initially took over the office of President and on August 31, 1977 formed the cabinet Spyros Kyprianou I. This remained in office until March 8, 1978 was then replaced by the Spyros Kyprianou II cabinet .
