Kingdom of Cyprus
The Kingdom of Cyprus was in 1192 by the Crusaders built and was in 1291 with the Titularkönigtum Jerusalem in personal union connected. The kings were provided by the Lusignan family .

Northern Cyprus
Turkish federal state of Cyprus
After a coup in the Republic of Cyprus in 1974, there was a Turkish intervention and the northern part of the island was captured by Turkish troops. In 1975 the Turkish Federal State of Cyprus was proclaimed in the occupied territory . The UN Security Council declared the declaration null and void. The Turkish federal state of Cyprus was only recognized internationally by Turkey . It was a stabilized de facto regime .

Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
In 1983 the former Turkish Federal State of Cyprus declared itself independent under the name Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus . The UN Security Council declared the declaration of independence null and void. The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is only recognized by Turkey , it is a stabilized de facto regime.
