List of Presidents of Montenegro
The President of Montenegro ( Predsjednik ) is directly elected by the people for a five-year term; re-election is possible once. He is also the Commander-in-Chief of Montenegro. His tasks include a. the appointment of the Prime Minister after the election by Parliament . In addition, the president has some influence on foreign policy. His official seat is in the former royal residence city of Cetinje .
The list includes the presidents of Montenegro since the democratic transition of 1990/91.
