The Sultan of Brunei is the head of state of Brunei . The royal lineage can be traced back to the 15th century .

history

The beginnings of the dynasty are in the dark. There were also efforts to Islamize early history. Many elderly members of the Bolkiah house claim that their ancestors are the BaHassan and BaAlawi Saadah from Tarim and Hadramaut in Yemen . Records and genealogical tables about the Sultans of Brunei, the Batu Tarsilah , were only created from 1807.
