The list of Ministers of State of Monaco includes all Heads of Government of Monaco since February 1911.

The Minister of State and the Councilors

The previous Monegasque ministers of state ( French Ministre d'État ) were high officials in the civil service and diplomats from France . The Minister of State is appointed by the Prince of Monaco , is his representative and the first authority of the state after the Prince. The head of government is responsible for the administration of the country and for this purpose uses the executive powers of the state, in particular the public service (Force Publique) . The Minister of State is responsible for the General Secretariat of the Minister of State, the General Control of Expenditures and the General Inspection of Administration.

He is supported by five councilors (Conseiller de Gouvernement) , who are also appointed by the prince. The five councilors head ministries that specialize in managing different areas. There are currently the following government councils:

  • Government Councilor for Home Affairs: Paul Masseron
  • Government Councilor for Finance and Economy: Jean Castellini
  • Government Councilor for Social Affairs and Health: Stéphane Valeri
  • Councilor for Equipment, Environment and Urbanism: Marie-Pierre Gramaglia
  • Government Councilor for Foreign Relations and Cooperation: José Badia

The government councils, together with the minister of state, form the government council, in which the administrative matters prepared by the ministries are dealt with. The individual ministries are divided into directorates and services.
