Serge Telle

Serge Telle (born May 5, 1955 in Nantes , France ) is a French diplomat and Minister of State of Monaco since February 1, 2016 . So he is head of government in Monaco .

Life

Education

Serge Telle studied at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris and Institut national des langues et civilizations orientales Swahili and community law .

Diplomatic career

He got a job with the French Foreign Ministry and was appointed ambassador to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania in 1982 . From 1984 he was part of the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations . From 1988 to 1992 he was diplomatic advisor to Health Minister Bernard Kouchner .

From 2002 he was the French consul general in Monaco, which was upgraded to an embassy on January 1, 2006 , so that he became the first French ambassador in Monaco. In 2007 he ended this job.

Minister of State in Monaco

On January 4, 2016, he was appointed by Albert II to succeed Michel Roger , who had to resign in December 2015 for health reasons. He then took up this position on February 1, 2016.

Private life

He is married to Guilaine Chenu, a presenter on France 2 .
