Jean Lucien Emile Herly
Jean Lucien Emile Herly (born September 15, 1920 in Grosbliederstroff , Moselle department , † November 17, 1998 in Bonn ) was a French diplomat .
Life
Jean Herly married Marie-Louise Flahaut on January 8, 1943 and was Consul General in Algiers . In 1950 Herly was the ambassador of Monaco in Bern . In 1962 Herly was the French consul general in Oran and Algiers . In 1964 Herly Exequatur was granted in Düsseldorf .
From December 14, 1966 to May 12, 1969 Jean Herly was ambassador in Bangui to Jean-Bédel Bokassa , whom the Fifth French Republic under Charles de Gaulle supported in November 1967 with French troops , including foreign legionnaires , in securing his terrorist regime.
After the Yom Kippur War from November 15, 1973 to December 28, 1977 he was ambassador in Tel Aviv .
From January 24, 1978 to February 12, 1980 Herly was ambassador to King Hassan II in Rabat . Hassan II had some of those who had disappeared detained in the Tazmamart camp at the foot of the Jebel Layachi.
From July 1981 until his resignation on September 16, 1985, Jean Herly was Prime Minister of Monaco .
