Cabling
Cabling is a textile technique similar to two-for-one twisting . The twine is only given one turn with each spindle revolution. One of two threads that come together during twisting runs off a bobbin (roll) placed on the spindle . The second thread is fed from a bobbin in the creel , pulled through the cavity of the spindle and wound around the first thread. In this way, the yarns presented are not given any additional twist and retain their original volume.
The cabling is particularly suitable for yarns from filaments without rotation ( B ulked C ontinuous F ilament) used as carpet yarns are used. A better coverage in the carpet and material savings are achieved here.
Cabling machines are also used to twist tire cord yarns.
