Caffemics

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kaffemik ( German  with (tels) coffee ) is part of everyday Greenlandic culture . It describes a privately conducted, all-day and open coffee drinking , to which a homeowner invites on the occasion of a celebration such as a birthday , confirmation , but also in honor of a deceased , but which can be visited by everyone without having to know the celebrated or host. There are coffee , cakes and other small items, but also serves meals of Greenland's food culture. The aim of a coffee shop is less about eating and more about social exchange and getting to know strangers.
