Kafulwe Mission is a place founded in 1922 on Kalungwishi above its estuary on Lake Mweru in the Luapula Province in Zambia .

Kalfulwe Mission is 1150 meters above sea level, 80 kilometers north of Nchelenge. From there a gravel road leads to the village of Mununga on the opposite west bank of the Kalungwishi. The transport routes across the lake are important here.

The towns of Mununga and Kalfulwe Mission form a unit. Hospitals and schools are shared. It is a densely populated area that lives on the floodplains in the estuary delta and on the river itself. Fishing is the most important source of income. The most important market for fish is the Democratic Republic of the Congo .
