Kaidō Yasuhiro ( Japanese 魁 道 康弘 ; * October 24, 1975 in Tokyo as Tanaka Yasuhiro ( 田中 康弘 )) is a former Japanese sumo wrestler .

Kaidō belonged to the Tomozuna-beya stable and had been a professional since 1998, initially under his birth name. Before starting his professional sports career, he was a successful university athlete. In the Makushita division, he did not succeed in promotion at first, although he was at the top of the rankings several times. Knee injuries prevented his advancement every time.

In May 2003 he made the leap into the sekitori ranks. He changed his battle name to Kaitō ( 魁 道 ), but was downgraded after a make-koshi . Only in September of that year he appeared again on the banzuke the juryo -Division, finally under the name Kaidō, retaining notation. Until March 2005 he belonged to this league and was able to rise to their upper ranks. However, his chronic and recurring leg problems again led to a demotion, so that Kaidō fought again in the makushita. In August 2006, Heya announced Kaidō's retirement from sumo.

Kaidō was Kaiō's assistant and training partner for many years .
