Kail (unit)

Kail was a volume and grain measure in Syria .

Damascus 1 kail = 1/12 Ġirāra / sack = 17 kilograms ≈ 22.08 liters

Aleppo 1 kail = 1/22 Makkūk ≈ 6.56 liters

Diyar Rabi'a region 1 kail = 1/16 Makkūk = 0.469 liters

Note: Not the same as the Kaila measure .
