The Kaiser Wilhelm I monument in Königsberg stood on Kaiser Wilhelm Platz at the southwest corner of the palace .

It is one of the most famous works by Friedrich Reusch . The five meters (up to the point of the sword 6.80 m) large, "East Prussian Provincial Monument" of Emperor Wilhelm I , who is depicted in the regalia of his coronation as King of Prussia on January 2, 1861. The statue cast by Schäffer & Walcker in Berlin shows the monarch, holding the Albrecht's sword in his raised right hand , on a 1900 hundredweight granite boulder from Samland . The monument was unveiled on September 4, 1894 in the presence of the imperial couple and Prince Albrecht of Prussia on Kaiser-Wilhelm-Platz. Even then, the total costs were considerable at 376,000 marks; the emperor's statue alone cost 220,000 marks. The money was raised primarily through voluntary contributions and a grant from the provincial council.

The memorial survived World War II undamaged. Post-war photos from 1948 show the emperor without his head and sword. The Soviet authorities in Kaliningrad removed the monument in early 1950.
