The Kaiserhofstraße is a short street in the center of Frankfurt and runs as a crossroads between the streets Freßgass and high street . The main route is a pedestrian zone with u. a. Perfumeries, fashion stores, delicatessens and restaurants, and serves as an extension of the Freßgass. In addition to shops, there are offices, etc. a. for smaller financial institutions, and homes. There are several listed buildings from the late 19th century on Kaiserhofstrasse.

Kaiserhofstrasse is located in the so-called Opera District . In the immediate vicinity are the Bockenheimer Anlage and the luxury hotel Sofitel Frankfurt Opera in the north / northwest , Opernplatz and the Alte Oper in the west, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in the east and Freßgass and Goethestrasse in the south .

The street was named after the coat of arms on the old Hellerhof , which was demolished in 1863.

Kaiserhofstrasse is known in literature through the novel Kaiserhofstrasse 12 by Valentin Senger and its film adaptation by Hessischer Rundfunk from 1980. In the 19th century, Lino Salini 's father's wine bar was a meeting place for many Frankfurt artists.
