Kaki no Tane ( Japanese 柿 の 種 , German "seeds of the kaki [fruit]") are a popular snack in Japan made from the roasted rice crackers Senbei . The name of the visual similarity of the stirred Senbei pieces with the seeds of Kaki -Frucht ago. As Kaki-PI ( 柿ピー also Kakipea ) is a mix of Kaki no Tane designated peanuts, the PI is an abbreviation of Lehnwortes pīnattsu ( ピーナッツ of Engl. Peanuts "peanuts"). The crushed pieces of senbei are coated with soy sauce , sugar, bonito flakes , chilli and other spicy ingredients. Kaki no Tane and Kaki-pī are snacks that are traditionally served in bars and are eaten there with beer or sometimes green tea . There are several flavors available, including a wasabi flavor.
