With Kaliningrad elevated highways are elevated roads in the Russian city of Kaliningrad referred. Two structures have been completed, the third is under construction. They (should) cross the two arms of the Pregel , the Old Pregel and the New Pregel .

First elevated road

The first elevated road, completed in 1972 ( Russian Эстакада, Estakada or Эстакадный мост, Estakadny most) is the section of the Leninski prospekt that bridges the cathedral island and the Moskovsky prospect . It is 546 meters long and 28 meters wide, has four lanes, two tram tracks and a footpath on each side. Pedestrian stairs lead to Cathedral Island and Moskovsky prospectus. At its southern end is the New Stock Exchange (Kaliningrad) and at its northern end is the Hotel Kaliningrad .

The first elevated road replaced the Green Bridge and the Krämer Bridge , which are part of the Königsberg bridge problem .

The second elevated road (Russian Вторая эстакада, Wtoraja estakada), which was opened to traffic in 2011, branches off north of Friedländer Tor from uliza Dzerzhinskovo, crosses the Alte Pregel above the high bridge , leads in a slight left curve over the October Island (Eng. Lomse ) , crosses the Neue Pregel near the Kreuzkirche , then crosses the Moskowski prospekt, to which there is an entrance and exit, and ends at uliza Frunze. The elevated road is 1,883 meters long, 32 meters wide and has six lanes.

Third elevated road

The third elevated road, which was planned in connection with infrastructure measures in view of the 2018 World Cup in 2012, was initially planned in such a way that it would connect the corner of uliza Alleja Smelnych , uliza Dzerzhinskowo with uliza Litowski wal . A government resolution of the Kaliningrad Oblast of 2015 lengthened the course of the now so-called eastern flyover (Russian Восточная эстакада, Vostochnaja estakada) and defined it further east, from uliza Molodoi gwardiji to uliza Muromskaja. The first construction phase with the bridge over the New Pregel was opened in June 2018.
