The Kamloops Lake is a lake in the Canadian province of British Columbia , west of the Rocky Mountains . It is located on the Thompson River just west of the city of Kamloops . The lake is 1.6 kilometers wide, 29 kilometers long and up to 152 meters deep. Savona is at the western end of the lake .
