Morale

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Combat morale - modern military sociology also speaks of deployment motivation - relates to the behavior of soldiers in direct military conflicts . From the military's point of view, a high morale ( indomitable will to fight and moral steadfastness ) is the quality of soldiers or units not to give up and not to slacken in their efforts even in combat situations that are perceived as difficult . For the military leadership, which defines the goal of these efforts, the question of the fighting morale of their units, but also that of the enemy, is of central interest.

The term " morality " has been removed from its philosophical or theological context and should be understood as a synonym for "readiness" or "motivation".
